Biology Instructor at New College of Florida

New College of Florida invites applicants for a recurring, non-tenure-track, 9-month Instructor in Biology position starting in August 2019. Minimum qualifications are an M.S. degree in Biology or a related field and 3 years of professional experience. The preferred qualification is a PhD in Biology or a related field (e.g. Science Education). The successful applicant will be an integral part of developing a new, single-term introductory biology laboratory course. The primary responsibility will be teaching three courses in both the fall and spring terms, with each section of the lab counting as a course. Depending on the needs of the biology program, the Instructor may offer other courses consistent with their expertise. Additional responsibilities include supervising student assistants, maintaining safety records, and preparing introductory biology laboratory materials. While research is not required, collaborations with faculty and students are encouraged and may be supported through internal and external funds.
