Director, School of Information RIT

We are seeking a proven leader with experience in information technology, artificial intelligence, data science, human-computer interaction, application development technologies, health informatics, or other related areas of computing and information sciences; a track record of funded research; a commitment to interdisciplinary and collaborative work; and demonstrated ability to manage an academic unit. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to both undergraduate and graduate education, as well as the ability to provide leadership and support for faculty research, scholarship, and curriculum development.

  • 􀁸 A PhD in a related discipline.

  • 􀁸 Associate or Full Professor, or Equivalent Industry Rank.

  • 􀁸 Research experience in artificial intelligence, data science, information technology, human-computer interaction, web or mobile application development, health informatics, or other areas of computing and information sciences.

  • 􀁸 Strong commitment both to undergraduate and graduate education with a spirit of student centeredness and dedication, and to leading a faculty focused on high-quality instruction and student success.

  • 􀁸 Demonstrated experience or ability to provide leadership for an academic unit, including strategic thinking, vision, and administrative skills.
