The successful candidate is expected to establish a research agenda and externally-funded research program in science education, with a focus on student learning and success in the health sciences (e.g., student knowledge development and progression from pre-professional health science programs to degree completion, student understanding of key health science concepts). Professional responsibilities also include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses that may include, but are not limited to: Biology or Chemistry undergraduate courses for students in pre-professional health science programs as well as Graduate Seminars and Research Methods in Science Education for MISE graduate students.
