Intergroup Dialogue Project Student Engagement Specialist at Cornell University

Reporting to the Director of the Intergroup Dialogue Project, and working with a vibrant team of IDP staff and facilitators, the Student Engagement Specialist will be responsible for developing and leading co-curricular intergroup dialogue programs for undergraduate students, as well as providing consultation and support for Cornell students and staff who are working to create inclusive communities for undergraduate students on campus. Additionally, this position will support IDP’s academic courses for undergraduate students.

With general direction from the Director of IDP, specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing curriculum for co-curricular offering; recruiting and training peer undergraduate facilitators to facilitate these offerings; coaching peer facilitators who lead IDP’s academic courses; assisting with the furthering of collaborations with programs, units, and institutions on campus; facilitating workshop and training sessions for undergraduate students, focusing on issues related to identity, communication across difference, and dialogue skills; and creating new opportunities for students to engage in meaningful programs and processes promoting dialogue and inclusion.
