Lecturer- Public Policy

The Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) seeks applicants for a lecturer or Senior lecturer in the Department of Public Policy beginning in spring of 2022-2023 or fall of 2023-2024 academic year. The department is seeking a teacher who can contribute to high-quality graduate education. The selected candidate would be expected to teach 8 courses per year, with reductions due to any agreed-upon administrative responsibilities. REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will:

  • Have an advanced degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field prior to the position start date.
  • Demonstrate effective teaching potential for a wide range of courses in the public policy curriculum, including both core and advanced elective courses.
  • Demonstrate an interest in science and technology policy issues.
  • Demonstrate potential for administrative service to the Department, such as program management and assessment or student advising.
  • Demonstrate potential for service to the Institute and Community.
  • Be able to contribute in meaningful ways to the college’s continuing commitment to cultural diversity, pluralism, and individual differences.
