One-Year Visiting Assistant Professor: Human Physiology/Genetics

The Department of Biology at Kalamazoo College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor beginning September 2019. Responsibilities for this position include teaching a course in human physiology and an upper-level genetics course, assisting in the introductory laboratory sequence, and developing an upper-level course in their area of expertise. For this position, a completed Ph.D. is required and post-doctoral experience is preferred. Prior teaching experience and a demonstrated interest in undergraduate teaching is desirable. We especially encourage applications from candidates whose intellectual and pedagogical approaches to the discipline will be effective in attracting and retaining historically underrepresented students. The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to working with students, faculty, and staff from diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds.
