Teaching and Learning Innovation at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville announces registration is open for its Innovative Teaching and Learning Conference that will be held on Tuesday, March 30th from 8:00am to 5:30pm .
Our theme this year is “ Lighting the Way to Deeper Learning”. Our goal is to highlight the importance of good teaching in higher education settings by featuring the innovative teaching practices that occur in this context. Our keynote speaker for both breakfast and lunch is Claire Major, world renowned teacher, consultant, and scholar . She is the author or coauthor of several books in the field of instructional development that include: Learning Assessment Techniques: A Handbook for College Faculty Online Learning: A guide to theory, research, and practice , Teaching for Learning: 101 Intentionally Designed Learning Activities to put Students on the Path to Success , and Collaborative Learning Techniques: A handbook for college faculty.
