The associate will join a team of researchers, practitioners, and faculty developers engaged in the
Inclusive STEM Teaching Project (ISTP; https://www.inclusivestemteaching.org/), which
consists of online course with activities, virtual affinity groups, and local learning communities,
and is designed to increase the awareness, self-efficacy, and ability of STEM faculty and future
faculty to cultivate inclusive learning environments and to develop as reflective practitioners.
ISTP is funded via a multi-institutional NSF grant.
The primary responsibilities of the research associate under this NSF grant are to conduct
quantitative and qualitative research on the outcomes of participants engaged in the ISTP project.
This will entail extensive literature review, validation and implementation of instruments, and
quantitative data analysis. It will also involve qualitative methods such as interviews, case
studies, and course-material analysis. In addition, the associate will be expected to be a key
contributor to the writing of the research manuscripts.
