Have you recently (<4 years) completed a postdoctoral position in a United States-based Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL)? And do you currently work in a CTL or in the field of educational development? If so, please consider volunteering to participate in our exploratory research study on the pathways to a career in educational development and opportunities for engagement in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).
We are conducting confidential qualitative interviews (~45-60 minutes) over Zoom with the goal of capturing the range of experiences, including transition, professional socialization, and common challenges, across a variety of CTL-situated postdoc positions.
The benefits of participating include an opportunity to reflect on your own professional pathway and an enjoyable conversation with fellow educational developers. You will also be contributing insights drawn from your experiences that will provide guidance for prospective postdocs. Emerging themes will also be discussed in a chapter for an edited collection focusing on developing a SoTL identity.
If you are interested in participating, we would love to hear from you! Please click the link to complete a very brief screening survey and we will follow-up right away to schedule a time that is convenient for you in the next two weeks.
