The Senior Learning Technology Consultant is a strategic liaison between the UW campus community and the many services provided by DoIT Academic Technology (DoIT AT). In particular, this person serves UW-Madison’s courses, UW-Madison administration, and the instructional community (a diverse, interdisciplinary collective of departments, programs, centers, institutes, and faculty) with a variety of pedagogical, organizational, and technological skills.
These talents include, but are not limited to: the design and delivery of effective teaching and learning, strong collaborative and communication skills, an enthusiastic curiosity for educational technologies, and an overall desire to use these abilities for the continued improvement of the campus community. In particular, this person’s primary responsibility will be to coordinate and liaise efforts across multiple administrators, faculty, staff, TAs, and students through the redesign of course and program curricula.
The initiative that will be the focal point for this position in the near term: UW-Madison’s REACH (REdesign for ACtive learning in High-enrollment courses) initiative to transform the university’s largest undergraduate courses to active learning (https://edinnovation.wisc.edu/reach/).
